Susan Greene
Contracted Benefits Planner

Susan Greene has over 12 years of experience creating and implementing career and transition programs for individuals with disabilities. Susan has worked extensively in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. As the Career and Transition Department Supervisor at the Texas School for the Deaf (TSD), Susan implemented various programs and services that encouraged hands-on learning so students could explore and develop their career interests and talents while increasing their self-determination skills.
After leaving TSD, Susan helped launch a nationwide Employment Network under the Social Security Ticket to Work Program. She later worked at Disability Rights Texas, providing statewide technical assistance and benefits planning to Social Security Disability beneficiaries experiencing barriers to employment. Since relocating from Austin, Texas to Washington State in 2019, Susan now provides benefits planning to clients. Her goal is to help clients understand how earnings may affect their cash, medical, and other state benefits so that they feel empowered to make informed decisions about their career and financial goals.
Susan holds a Ph.D. and M.Ed. in Vocational Rehabilitation from The University of Texas at Austin. She received certification as a Work Incentives Benefits Practitioner from Cornell. She is also a certified Workforce Development Specialist from NAWPD and Job and Career Transition Coach through the Career Development Network.
Susan and her husband raised two boys and moved to the PNW in 2019. Susan loves dogs and hopes to one day be part of a pet therapy team. She also enjoys photography, travel, reading, and creating dollhouse miniatures.
